Thanks for stopping by my page.
I started my professional life as a Nuclear Submarine Officer with a Chemical Engineering degreee. With that background, I was obvously perfectly prepared to do what I do today. Today, I basically teach people skills.

I own
Principle Driven Consulting. My personal specialty is conflict resolution in a team setting. I work with teams in nearly every market segment - business, ministry, government, education, and family. My main focus is the business market.
Until January of 2010 my blog was titled
Resolving Conflict in Teams. In it, I shared insights, tips, techniques and concepts for resolving conflicts in a team environment. (I suggest that families and churches would fit in this definition.) I stopped actively blogging there in January of 2010.
Now, my blog is
RecoveringEngineer.com. This blog is about learning to get out of your own way. It is about learning to take a close look at your thoughts, feelings, responses, and reactions to find better and more effective ways to build and maintain relationships.

I write from the perspective of a person who does not, by nature, enjoy interacting with people, and who has chosen to constantly work on developing the skills necessary to connect, communicate, live, and work effectively with others.
Anyway, you can see some of the headlines in the left column of this page, or you can get there directly by clicking on the image to the right.
I have also created quite a bit of content over at
Squidoo
that you might want to check out also. Squidoo is pretty fun and simple to use, and it's a good way to be seen on the web. If you would like to create pages at Squidoo, just use this
link to get started.
I hope to connect with you soon. Have a great day,

Thanks for connecting, sorry so long in answering back, I have been away doing seminars. That is so funny that we did our training together, how great is that, if I remember correctly, I did the advanced training in August either 2000 or 2001, sound right?
Well all is good, I am very excited about where we are headed, and I am definiely looking forward to the new horizons..... Possibly we could connect and catch up.... Take care and have yourself a great day. Respectfully Wendy
I am not sure if you are aware, but I just incorporated DISC training into my coaching training. We just trained our first 7 business coaches for RW (across Canada)
I just finished speaking in Duncan BC - "Dancing to the beat of a different drummer". We had a drumming expert come in to teach us about the value of drumming - and did some demonstrations. I followed with a keynote.
Tomorrow I am speaking in Vancouver "everything I learned about Business, I learned from the front seat of a Police Cruiser" http://www.roaringwomen.com/resources/invitations/vancouver/educate.htm
Thanks for all your encouragement!
