I believe that it is in family relationships that we can learn and grow the most. It is also the place where all we know is tested to the utmost. One of my life's missions is to not just be TOLERANT, but truly ACCEPTING of the special people in my life - learning how to celebrate the differences rather than being critical. A challenging goal indeed!

The only way I can be a better parent for my children is to become the model. Become the model that they want to follow and copy, because what I’m doing is speaking louder that what I say. The DISC model is the best tool to help me become who I deserve to be, " myself ".

Hi, has anyone read "Have a Different Kid by Friday"? I heard the author on the radio (several times) and he had some really good things to say. He has also authored a book on birth order. Has anyone read about birth order and has any insights into how DISC may apply? or Are they totally seperate issues?
